Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be providing quality control support to all production departments and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. The Quality Technician position offers potential for career advancement into Management or Leadership opportunities within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Reports directly to the Quality Manager, provides support to the Quality Inspector.
- Inspect and qualify First/Last Piece product samples.
- Assist Quality Manager with maintaining and improving the QMS and the orgainization's ISO 9001 affiliation.
- Complete PPAP/FAI submissions according to customer requirements and deadlines.
- Responsible for monitoring and fulfilling requirements of the organization's Gage Calibration program.
- Create detailed Work Instructions used to train employees and carry out production processes.
- Support production departments by executing Receiving Inspection activities and requirements on raw materials and purchased components.
- Identify and isolate suspect product per organizational guidelines.
- Monitor and provide routine updates to the department on Quality Hold Area activities.
- Communicate with customers and suppliers as needed.
- Support the Quality Manager to identify and implement Corrective Actions and Continuous Improvements.
- Organize Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives for new production jobs.
Skills
- Thorough understanding of GD&T and print reading.
- Ability to correctly utilize Standard Measurement Devices (calipers, micrometers, Ht. gage, etc.)
- Thorough attention to detail and record retention.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Responsible, reliable, and motivated to grow within the organization.
- Capable of working in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- ** Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
