Nammo Perry is a center of excellence for the design, development and production of munitions and pyrotechnic products for the U.S. Department of Defense. Nammo employees working at the Florida site manufacture all types of 40mm low and high velocity ammunition; pyrotechnic marking; signaling and tactical illumination devices; battlefield effects training simulators; demolition charges; hand grenade fuzes; and other ammunition components. Additionally, they provide load, assemble, and pack (LAP) services for large caliber direct-fire ammunition.
The Quality Test Engineer is responsible for planning, conducting, and documenting destructive and non-destructive tests aimed at evaluating product performance and conformance to internal and external customer requirements. The Quality Test Engineer will collaborate with the various Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to implement and execute test methods and procedures that accurately reflect the effectiveness of various manufacturing processes and materials. The Quality Test Engineer will analyze test data and generate reports for IPTs to drive process improvement initiatives and eliminate testing failures.

What You’ll Do: Precision in Action
- Plan, design, and execute destructive and non-destructive tests for Nammo Perry’s products
- Develop and implement test procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with both internal and external safety and quality standards
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including manufacturing engineers, manufacturing quality engineers, design teams, and production to ensure proper test execution
- Analyze test data and generate detailed reports, providing clear and actionable insights to improve quality of the product
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the testing, ensuring that all problems are addressed in a timely manner and in accordance with product specifications
- Maintain test equipment, tools, and facilities ensuring proper calibration and functionality
- Provide technical support and expertise for both internal and customer inquiries related to test results and product performance
- Champion the continuous improvement of testing procedures and equipment
- Investigate internal and external quality concerns and work with cross functional teams to determine root cause and implement permanent corrective actions
- Inspect and review lot manufacturing and quality records for completeness and correctness
- Perform radiographic inspections as required for testing articles (training will be provided). Serve as backup for Nammo Perry’s radiographic inspection technician once training is achieved
- Conduct frequent process spot audits with the testing team
- Market testing capabilities for future business and products
- Travel to witness testing that is performed off-site
- Ensures the testing activities are performed in compliance with the Quality Management System requirements
- Strictly adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

Our Woking Conditions and Requirements
- BS Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Chemical, Materials) or similar
- Good understanding of statistics, with particular emphasis on process control, sample selection and measurement systems
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Good organization and project time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as a Quality Engineer in the Defense Industry working in ordnance and use of energetic materials, powders/propellants.
- Experience with measurement equipment
- Experience with AS9100 / ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems, corrective and preventative action, contract data items, NDT, MIL-STD-1916, and MIL-STD-1168
- Six Sigma Green belt certification or higher
- Experience with statistical analysis software such as Minitab
- Experience with PFMEAs, PLVs and SPC
- ASQ Certification, CQE/Quality Auditor
