Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities:

• To carry out Quantity Surveying tasks as required by the QS department in compliance with the Standard Design Procedures.
• Undertake the duties required to complete the Bills of Quantities, Schedule of Quantities, Cost Estimates and any other documentation as instructed by the QS Manager or Senior QS.
• Prepare the preliminary estimate of the client brief which will allow the client to know whether what he is proposing is within his financial capability or not.
• Advice on tendering and contractual arrangements taking into accounts the client's priorities and information available from designers.
Prepare tender and contract documents in conjunction with the clients and members of the design team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering OR Quantity Surveying
• Minimum of10 years’ experience in the Quantity Surveying discipline, with at least 2 years in an Engineering and Architectural consultancy relating to Mechanical, Plumbing and Electrical Engineering Design Works
• Expert knowledge in AutoCad drawing and material take-off
• Expert knowledge of the format of the Bills of Quantities in the CSI 50 division format
• Knowledge of the FIDIC contracts
• Knowledge of Tender documentation and contracts
• Registered Member of Saudi Council of Engineer
• Good knowledge of MEP systems
• Good written and communication skills
