Key Responsibilities:
Design & Pre-Construction
- Collaborate with design teams to prepare cost estimates and feasibility studies at concept, schematic, and detailed design stages.
- Develop and maintain cost plans and elemental breakdowns aligned with design evolution.
- Lead value engineering exercises — proposing materials, systems, and construction methods to achieve design intent within budget.
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and tender documentation for procurement.
- Evaluate tenders and assist in contractor selection.
Construction & Administration
- Administer contracts and manage cost-related communications with contractors and consultants.
- Track and forecast project expenditures to maintain budget control.
- Review, evaluate, and negotiate variations and claims.
- Prepare and certify interim payment applications.
Post-Construction
- Finalize project accounts and prepare cost reports.
- Provide post-project analysis for continuous improvement and benchmarking.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related field.
- Minimum [X] years of experience, preferably within a design-led or multidisciplinary environment.
- Strong understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, and design processes.
- Excellent knowledge of cost planning, tendering, and contract administration.
- Proficient in QS software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Excel) and BIM integration.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
