Quantity Surveyor

Job description

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to manage the costs related to construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cost estimation, budget management, contract administration, and financial reporting while ensuring that projects remain within budget and comply with quality and legal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and tender documents for projects.
• Analyze and evaluate contractual claims, variations, and project risks.
• Monitor project budgets, cash flow, and cost control measures.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to manage project finances.
• Evaluate and negotiate contractor and supplier costs.
• Certify progress payments and final accounts for contractors.
• Prepare financial reports and cost analysis for management review.
• Ensure compliance with construction laws, contracts, and industry regulations.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and project timelines.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, or contract management.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, CostX, or other quantity surveying software.
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and contracts (FIDIC, JCT, NEC, etc.).
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial and technical documents.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹194,149.39 - ₹398,429.95 per year
