Job Summary
We are seeking a methodical and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our specialized team. You will be responsible for reviewing architectural drawings, preparing precise take-offs for aluminum profiles and glass, generating Bills of Quantities (BOQs), managing subcontractor payments, and handling cost estimations for tender submissions.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Measurement & Take-offs: Review architectural and shop drawings to calculate accurate quantities for aluminum profiles, glass, accessories, and glazing works using AutoCAD.
- Estimation & Tendering: Prepare detailed BOQs, cost estimates, and tender packages for curtain walls, windows, doors, pergolas, and louvers.
- Contractual Management: Manage subcontractor and installer packages, including contract drafting, tender comparisons, and price negotiations.
- Cost Control: Monitor project expenses, track variations, and prepare monthly valuations for clients and interim payments for contractors.
- Project Reporting: Produce regular cost reports and final account reconciliations to ensure profitability.
- Liaison: Coordinate with internal design teams, site managers, suppliers, and clients.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or a relevant construction-related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in quantity surveying, specifically within the Aluminium, façade, or glass industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD for measurement and Microsoft Excel for costing. Experience with ERP software or specialized take-off software is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Detailed understanding of aluminum profiles, facade systems, glazing types, and fixing methods.
