Job Summary

The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing all cost-related aspects of road, infrastructure, and utility projects. The role involves quantity take-off, cost estimation, contract administration, measurement of works, preparation of interim payment applications, variation claims, subcontractor management, and cost control to ensure projects are completed within budget and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Review project drawings, BOQs, and specifications for roads, drainage, sewerage, water networks, utility diversions, and infrastructure works.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
  • Measure and value work executed on-site and prepare monthly progress valuations.
  • Prepare, submit, and negotiate interim payment applications and final accounts with clients and consultants.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prepare variation orders, claims, and extension of time (EOT) documentation.
  • Monitor project costs, expenditures, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparative statements.
  • Administer subcontract agreements and certify subcontractor payments.
  • Maintain records of quantities, cost reports, variations, and contractual correspondence.
  • Assist project teams in cost planning, procurement, and contract management.
  • Review and verify material quantities and procurement requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with contract conditions, project specifications, and company procedures.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, planners, and procurement teams to achieve commercial objectives.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide commercial advice and recommendations.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in quantity surveying for roads, infrastructure, and utility projects in Qatar
  • Qatar/GCC experience in infrastructure projects
  • UPDA/MMUP certification is an advantage.

Pay: QAR6,000.00 per month
