Key Responsibilities



  • Review and analyze tender documents, BOQs, specifications, and IFC/FEED drawings for LNG and Oil & Gas facilities.

  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs for:

    • Civil works (earthworks, concrete, structural steel)

    • Mechanical equipment installation

    • Piping (process & utility systems)

    • Electrical & Instrumentation works



  • Identify discrepancies, ambiguities, and missing information in tender documents and coordinate with the Inquiry Engineer for clarification.

  • Compare take-off quantities with Client/Consultant BOQs and highlight major deviations.

  • Quantify lump sum items, provisional sums, and undefined scope items .

  • Incorporate accurate quantities into BOQ for pricing and estimation.

  • Coordinate with Estimation and Engineering teams to ensure complete scope coverage .

  • Prepare and submit technical queries (TQs) and commercial clarifications to client/consultant.

  • Update quantities based on addendums, revisions, and clarification responses .

  • Assist in preparation of final BOQ submissions with unit rates and pricing inputs .

  • Support cost analysis, benchmarking, and value engineering initiatives.

  • Ensure compliance with EPC contract requirements and ADNOC commercial procedures .

  • Maintain proper documentation and ensure all tender files are archived through Document Control.



Qualifications & Experience



  • Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Quantity Surveying

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in EPC Oil & Gas projects

  • Prior experience in LNG, gas processing, or refinery projects preferred

  • Experience working on ADNOC projects or similar Middle East projects is highly desirable



Skills & Competencies



  • Strong knowledge of quantity take-off software and Excel-based estimation tools

  • Ability to interpret:

    • P&IDs, Isometric drawings, GA drawings, and layout drawings



  • Familiarity with international standards (ASME, API, ASTM)

  • Sound understanding of EPC contracts, BOQ structures, and commercial terms

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in quantity measurement

  • Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced tendering environment
