Quantity Surveyor (EPC)

Key Responsibilities

  • Review tender documents, prepare BOQs and cost estimates, and coordinate with clients/consultants for clarifications.
  • Float enquiries to suppliers/subcontractors, analyze quotations, and recommend options to Division Manager/Senior QS.
  • Carry out quantity take-offs, finalize material requirements, and coordinate with Procurement for orders, delivery, and tracking.
  • Prepare and update site measurements, interim valuations, and final accounts; follow up with consultants for certification.
  • Identify and prepare variation orders and new item rates; advise Project Manager on contractual rights, BOQ items, variations, and claims.
  • Manage subcontractor packages, including monitoring payments, variations, and final account settlements.
  • Conduct BOQ risk reviews with Project Manager and Senior QS; manage financial and material reconciliations with consultants.
  • Prepare monthly project reports, cost summaries, cash flow forecasts, and recap reports; coordinate with Finance/Administration on invoices and materials.
  • Liaise regularly with project staff, consultants, and clients on all commercial and contractual matters.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in EPC/construction projects in the UAE (substations, water/sewerage pipelines).
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, cost control, and local construction practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant cost management software; knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • RICS or equivalent professional certification will be considered an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED13,000.00 - AED16,000.00 per month
