Quantity Surveyor-Interior Fitout

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets at various project stages.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost benchmarking.
• Prepare tender documentation and evaluate tenders received.
• Advise on procurement strategy and contractor selection.
• Administer and manage contracts, including measurement and valuation of works.
• Review and negotiate contract terms and conditions.
• Monitor project costs and prepare regular cost reports.
• Identify cost variances and provide recommendations to mitigate overspending.
• Prepare interim valuations and final accounts.
• Assess contractor and subcontractor payment applications.
• Identify and manage project risks related to cost and contract issues.
• Evaluate variations and claims, ensuring accurate cost tracking.
• Advise on cost implications of design and scope changes.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, AIQS, CIOB) preferred.
• Minimum [X] years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and cost management software (e.g., CostX, Candy, BuildSoft).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
