About the Role
GSOQ is hiring a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor with essential experience in Oil & Gas EPC mechanical, piping, and equipment installations. The role focuses on ensuring cost accuracy, contract compliance, and efficient commercial management throughout the mechanical work lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review mechanical BOQs, cost breakdowns, and tender documents.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for piping, supports, valves, equipment, and mechanical installations based on IFC drawings.
• Administer EPC/FIDIC-based contracts, handling variations, claims, and commercial correspondence.
• Monitor mechanical project costs against approved budgets and prepare cost reports.
• Review subcontractor and supplier quotations for mechanical scope.
• Support tendering teams with mechanical cost analysis and commercial deliverables.
• Evaluate cost impacts of piping revisions, equipment changes, and mechanical scope variations.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction teams for cost control accuracy.
• Prepare final accounts and support project close-out documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of QS experience in Oil & Gas EPC mechanical/piping projects – mandatory.
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and cost control systems.
• Strong knowledge of piping/equipment BOQs, cost estimation, and contract administration.
• Familiarity with EPC projects and FIDIC contract structures is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Mandatory Requirements

• Oil & Gas project experience is mandatory.
• Currently based in Qatar.
• Valid NOC and transferable visa.
• Ready to join immediately.
