Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement processes for construction. This role requires a strong understanding of construction projects, cost management, and supply chain dynamics to ensure the successful delivery of projects within budget and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy & Planning

Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and budgets.

Conduct market research to identify cost-effective and high-quality suppliers and vendors.

Forecast procurement needs based on project schedules and construction plans.
Vendor & Supplier Management

Identify, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers.

Hold pre-bid meeting with the proposed bidders.

Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.

Conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations.
Tendering Management

Prepare and issue RFQs (Request for Quotations), RFPs (Request for Proposals), and tenders.

Evaluate bids, analyse quotations, and recommend the best-fit supplier based on cost, quality, and reliability.

Ensure all procurement activities comply with UAE laws and internal policies.

Manage the procurement of Provisional Sum and Prime Cost items in the Contract.
Coordination & Reporting

Collaborate with stakeholders to align procurement activities with project requirements.

Prepare reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier evaluations.

Supervise, mentor and manage the lead/cost consultants for performance of pre-contract activities carried out on behalf of the Employer.

Liaison with design and development team to identify opportunities for value engineering.
Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

A minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, preferably in large real estate development/construction projects.

Professional Certification (MRICS or equivalent) is an advantage but not mandatory.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Knowledge of UAE construction market.
