Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer

Position: Quantity Surveyor (QS) Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil QS Engineer with strong technical and commercial expertise to manage cost control, measurement, and contract administration for civil construction projects in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have proven experience handling project quantities, cost estimation, procurement coordination, and reporting to ensure projects are delivered within budget, on time, and in accordance with contract requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bills of quantities for civil construction projects.
  • Monitor and track project costs, budgets, and variations to ensure financial control.
  • Assist in tender evaluation, subcontractor quotations, and contract documentation.
  • Review and validate contractor claims, progress payments, and final accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, and design teams to ensure accurate cost planning.
  • Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, changes, and project documentation.
  • Conduct site visits to verify quantities, check work progress, and assess compliance with design specifications.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve commercial or contractual issues arising during project execution.
  • Prepare regular cost reports, forecasts, and financial statements for management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with project contracts, company policies, and Dubai construction regulations.
  • Support dispute resolution, claims negotiation, and final account settlements when required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and civil engineering works .
  • Hands-on experience in cost estimation, measurement, and quantity surveying software (AutoCAD, MS Office, plan swift or similar).
  • Solid understanding of contract administration, procurement processes, and project cost controls.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of HSE standards, Dubai construction regulations, and contractual matters.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
