Role Summary
The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for interior fitout projects by analyzing tender documents, drawings, and specifications. The role ensures timely submission of techno-commercial proposals while supporting value engineering and coordination with suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cost Estimation & Tendering
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for interior fitout projects.
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications to determine the full scope of work.
- Identify risks, exclusions, and assumptions during bid preparation.
2. Quantity Take-offs & BOQ Preparation
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and project documents.
- Prepare and validate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) aligned with project requirements.
- Coordinate with design and technical teams to resolve discrepancies in drawings.
3. Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for materials and specialized works.
- Analyze quotations to ensure compliance with specifications and budget targets.
- Maintain updated cost databases and vendor pricing records.
4. Bid Submission & Commercial Support
- Prepare technical and commercial bid submissions within defined deadlines.
- Compile tender documentation including costing sheets, clarifications, and schedules.
- Participate in post-tender negotiations and provide clarifications when required.
5. Value Engineering
- Propose value engineering solutions to optimize project costs without compromising quality.
- Recommend alternative materials, methods, and design improvements.
6. Project Handover & Support
- Support project teams during handover by explaining estimation assumptions and cost breakdowns.
- Provide ongoing cost support and clarification during project execution if required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
- 3–8 years of estimation experience in interior fitout projects.
- Strong knowledge of materials, market rates, and fitout construction methods.
- Experience in tendering and BOQ preparation for commercial, retail, residential, or hospitality fitouts.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, and estimation software
- Strong analytical and numerical skills

- Effective communication and coordination skills
Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
