QuickBooks Accountant / Bookkeeper

Looking for a growth opportunity working with real financial professionals? At Next Tax we are looking for a QuickBooks Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our team! You will be responsible for keeping track of the financial records using QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online packages for multiple clients. This is NOT an entry-level position. You MUST have experience working with multiple companies in QuickBooks.

Our clients represent a diverse group of industries, mostly service-oriented. Clients range in size from $250K to $10Million in sales.

While there may be some work that can be done remotely or at-home, the majority of your time will be in our office. Little or no travel required.

Responsibilities:

· Provide data entry of bank and credit card transactions. Download transactions from the bank

· Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports

· Output monthly reports in a timely and accurate fashion

· Communicate regularly and professionally with clients.

· Create new processes to improve financial efficiency

· Report analysis and findings to management team

​Qualifications:

· Able to work efficiently and accurately with a minimum of supervision;

· Must have a minimum of 2 years experience using QBO

· Previous experience in accounting or other related fields

· Fundamental knowledge of GAAP

· Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools

· Detail and deadline-oriented

· Strong analytical and problem solving skills

· You must be well-versed in some of the advanced functions of either QBO or QB Desktop (or both)

· Preference to Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisors

You will be asked to take a short skill assessment at an interview.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• QuickBooks Online: 3 years (Required)
• Bookkeeping: 3 years (Preferred)
