A leading company in Qatar is looking for a qualified Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) to join our team.

Salary: QAR 4,000 per month (all-inclusive)

Job Summary

The Radiation Protection Officer (RPO) is responsible for ensuring full compliance with radiation safety regulations, overseeing the company’s radiation protection program, and managing all licensing requirements. The role ensures the safety of employees, clients, and the environment while upholding the highest regulatory and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and enforce compliance with national and international radiation safety standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain radiation protection procedures and safety programs.
• Conduct training and awareness sessions for employees on radiation safety.
• Perform radiation surveys, inspections, and safety audits on equipment and facilities.
• Monitor exposure levels and maintain accurate dosimetry records.
• Investigate radiation safety incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials and sources.
• Maintain and update all radiation safety documentation, permits, and reports.
• Renew and apply for all company radiation-related licenses through the MECC (Ministry of Environment and Climate Change) website.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities regarding inspections, audits, and licensing compliance.
• Stay up to date with changes in Qatari radiation protection laws, guidelines, and best practices.

Requirements

• Relevant degree in Radiation Protection, Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in radiation safety or similar role.
• Must hold all necessary certifications and approvals to practice as a Radiation Protection Officer in Qatar, as per MECC regulations.
• Strong knowledge of Qatari licensing procedures and compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to start immediately is preferred.

Pay: QAR4,000.00 per month
