Job Purpose

Lead & technicaly supervise Radio Optimization team to ensure network performance and KPI’s are meeting the company strategies and goals.

Technically supervise and apply effective tuning measures to improve 2G/3G network KPIs including Call Failure Rate (CFR), Call Drop Rate (CDR), Handover Success Rate, Soft Handover Success Rate, Location Area update, Paging Success rate and CSSR and HSDPA/EDGE/GPRS KPI’s to ensure competitive quality of service all over the network.Set 2G/3G short term plans such as network capacity expansions and performance KPIs following the company strategy and goals.Initiate, technically supervise and participate in trials for new product, features and department projects to support the decision making.Technically supervise and actively participate in clusters and major roads optimization campaigns through monitoring region KPI’s and optimizing network parameters to enhance competitive region position.Initiate, technically supervise and apply frequency re-tuning and antenna optimization in coordination with Radio Network Design (RND) to enhance the network performance.Technically supervise the Preparation of technical reports and conduct presentation related to the Section’s activities, achievements and outstanding issues to highlight section progress and performance.Develop tools and different techniques to enhance the work performance.Technically Supervising team members through their daily actions such parameter fine tuning, frequency changes, customer complaints and etc to ensure smooth work progress.Coach team members in technical training to cope with network requirements.Setting team and engineer yearly objectives to follow the department objectives and company strategy.Track and technically supervise customer complaints and assure clearance to ensure customer satisfaction.Initiate and enhance touristic areas to assure the quality of service.Co-ordinate with the vendor in optimization services acceptance such as drive test acceptance to ensure updating data related to acceptance tests.Ensure that the required network features, tools, equipments and staff trainings are effective and available to enhance the network performance.Co-ordinate with the RF planning, Rollout teams to have required Coverage and Capacity new sites to ensure acceptable performance.

QUALIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL

University Degree in Electrical Communications Engineering (Very good and above) Very good computer skills. Very good knowledge in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Power Point. Excellent in Arabic & English, reading, writing, & oral. Excellent communication skills Ability to work under stress

QUALIFICATIONS_DESIRABLE

Advanced knowledge in MS Excel Good knowledge in MS Access Excellent planning and organizing skills

EXPERIENCE_ESSENTIAL

Minimum 4-6 years experience

EXPERIENCE_DESIRABLE

Experience in all RF functions (planning, optimization, capacity planning).

CERTIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL

Essential: Advanced 2G & 3G optimization and dimensioning training course. Advanced leadership training courses (leadership, team management, & coaching) Desirable: Advanced parameter tuning and system features training course. HSPA techniques training course
