Radiology Sonography Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented USG Technician to perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures and assist physicians in evaluating patient conditions. The USG Technician will operate ultrasound equipment, ensure accurate imaging, maintain patient records, and support high-quality patient care. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and infection control protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound (USG) scans on patients as per physician requests, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, and other relevant imaging.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound machines, ensuring proper calibration and optimal image quality.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort.
  • Assist radiologists or physicians in interpreting images and providing preliminary observations when required.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, scan reports, and image archives in compliance with hospital protocols.
  • Follow infection control and safety procedures, including proper cleaning and disinfection of equipment.
  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff for smooth workflow in diagnostic imaging.
  • Handle emergency scans promptly and efficiently when required.
  • Participate in continuing education, training programs, and skill development sessions to stay updated on imaging technologies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography / Radiography.
  • Certification from recognized authorities is preferred.
  • Experience of 0–3 years in a hospital or diagnostic center.
  • Proficient in ultrasound imaging procedures, patient handling, and reporting.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and professionalism.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
