For our office in Cairo, we are looking for:


Railway Track Alignment Engineer (Egypt) - 100% (m/f)

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in railway track and alignment design, with hands-on experience using Bentley OpenRail Designer and a solid understanding of multidisciplinary project coordination.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver designs for railway tracks and alignments, covering all phases from preliminary engineering to detailed design.
  • Provide technical expertise in compliance with local and international railway construction standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with CAD drafters and collaborate with other disciplines, including drainage & hydrology, structures, utilities, and roads.
  • Support and mentor junior team members to develop their technical capabilities.
  • Prepare and review technical reports and design outputs in line with ARX's internal quality standards and control procedures.
  • Provide inputs to Bill of Quantities related to track and earthworks components.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in railway track alignment design.
  • Strong knowledge of Bentley OpenRail Designer; knowledge of Civil 3D is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven ability to manage design quality and coordinate across multiple disciplines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proficiency in English.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous Middle East experience is an advantage but not mandatory.
