Join our dynamic aviation team as a Ramp Agent/Baggage Handler and become a vital part of the airport operations! Responsibilities
- Load and unload baggage, cargo, and freight swiftly and safely using proper materials handling techniques.
- Operate forklifts, commercial vehicles, and other mechanical equipment following all safety protocols.
- Assist with aircraft marshalling and pushback procedures to ensure aircraft are positioned accurately on the tarmac.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment, vehicles, and work areas to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Communicate effectively with team members, pilots, and ground staff to coordinate logistics and ensure timely departures.
- Follow all Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and airport security procedures during baggage handling and aircraft servicing.
- Manage time efficiently to meet tight schedules while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Requirements
- Fluency in English; Haitian Creole or multilingual skills are a plus for effective communication with diverse teams.
- Prior warehouse or logistics experience preferred; aviation or materials handling background is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle materials with care in a fast-paced environment.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating forklifts, trucks, or other heavy machinery is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints.
- Supervising or management experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team.
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred; familiarity with airport logistics is a plus.
