Job Summary

Support the underwriting process by analyzing broker-submitted bid specifications and existing plan designs to determine appropriate product options and pricing. Use sound business judgment to evaluate insurance risks and release binding proposals for basic cases. Collaborate with underwriters on complex cases and contribute to corporate goals through project work. Maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners through clear communication and responsive service.

  • Evaluate plan designs and calculate rates for basic insurance risks (approx. 60%)
  • Provide underwriting support for large and complex cases (approx. 20%)
  • Communicate effectively with field sales, service teams, and home office staff (approx. 15%)
  • Participate in special projects and assignments (approx. 5%)

Skills and Background You’ll Need

EDUCATION

  • Associate’s Degree in Business or related field (minimum)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field (preferred)

EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of professional work experience
  • Intermediate or better proficiency in Microsoft Excel

MUST-HAVES

  • Strong math skills, including basic algebra
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Excellent time management and decision-making abilities
  • Customer service orientation
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

The actual compensation for this role will be based on a combination of education and experience, knowledge and skills, position budget, internal equity, and market data.

Salary Range:

22.96 - 30.77
