Job Summary:

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Guidewire Rating, you will design solutions to solve customer business problems and guide a team of software

developers. As well working closely with actuaries, business analysis and QA teams to deliver actuarial-accurate, scalable, and maintainable rating solutions. Your role involves configuring and integrating Guidewire PolicyCenter, developing and supporting software components, and staying current with new technologies. Join our team to leverage your expertise in Guidewire and contribute to innovative projects in the P&C insurance value chain.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as Senior Software Engineer contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, including internal and external team members.
• Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components anywhere in the software stack.
• Determine root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions.
• Implement and customize rating logic using Gosu.
• Configure and validate rate tables, loss cost multipliers, coverages, and modifiers.
• Understand the business requirements for calculating premium and develop rating logic and rate routines.
• Participate in code reviews, defect fixing, and unit testing.
• Maintain best practices while developing and configuring logics.
• Support developing and maintaining rate tables, coverage options, and premium calculations.
• Remain current on new technologies, evaluate, and make recommendations as necessary.
• Translating actuarial formulas into rating logic with better understanding on debugging excel formulas.
• Assist in task planning, estimation, and scheduling.
• Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes.
• Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams and management.
• Write, modify, and debug software for client applications.
• Remain cool and effective in a crisis.
• Stay on the leading edge of development practices.

Requirements:

• 4 + years of IT experience with 3+ experience on Guidewire Rating development
• Experience in Configuration on any of Guidewire Products such as PolicyCenter/Rating
• Experience in Gosu Queries, working on PCF, RuleSets, Validations
• Experience in Insurance domain with respect to commercial and personal line of business
• Experience Agile/Scrum Project Experience
• Good conceptual, analytical, and mathematical skills.

Good To Have:

• Good to have Guidewire certification on the Integration track.
• Awareness of Cloud Implementation is beneficial.
• Experience working in Agile is preferred.
