About the Role

We’re seeking a Raw Material Purchasing Specialist to manage the sourcing and procurement of cosmetic ingredients, packaging components, and lab consumables. This person will play a crucial role in maintaining smooth production operations, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that Sylvara Labs has the materials needed to deliver excellence for every client.

What You’ll Do

• Source and purchase cosmetic raw materials, active ingredients, and packaging components from qualified suppliers
• Evaluate supplier performance and negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules
• Work closely with formulation chemists and production teams to forecast material needs
• Maintain and update purchase orders, inventory records, and supplier databases
• Research and identify alternative suppliers to optimize cost and lead times
• Ensure compliance with ingredient quality, documentation, and regulatory requirements
• Track incoming shipments and coordinate with the warehouse on deliveries and inventory levels

What We’re Looking For

• 1–3 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience (preferably in cosmetics, personal care, or related manufacturing)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple orders and timelines simultaneously
• Familiarity with cosmetic raw materials and INCI names is a plus
• Proficiency in Excel, inventory management tools, or ERP systems
• Self-motivated and adaptable to a startup environment

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
