Instructional Assistant / Registered Behavior Technician

Hubbard Day is hiring at its new campus in Rocky Hill, a suburb of Hartford, Connecticut. We are a State Approved Private Special Needs School for children with Autism and related neurological differences, and we are looking for enthusiastic instructional assistants who are motivated to become RBT’s or are already Registered Behavior Technicians with experience working with special needs students.

The ideal candidate would already have their RBT certification and experience implementing ABA under the supervision of a BCBA. But we can also train you, if you are interested and willing to learn!

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing appropriate lessons with differentiation
• Assisting to maintain a structured classroom environment and daily routine
• Providing positive leadership for staff and students
• Collaborating with and carrying our programs developed by related service providers
• Implementing behavior analytic procedures developed by a behavior analyst
• Collecting data related to IEP objectives
• Obtaining or maintaining RBT certification
• Create student visual supports and materials needed for instruction based on knowledge of the student and his/her individual needs under the supervision of the Special Education Teacher, behavior analytic staff, Related Services Personnel and Executive Director
• Accompany BCBA or Special Education Teacher to periodic home visits as requested
