R&D Formulation Chemist

We are seeking a skilled R&D Formulation Chemist to join our Product Development team. The role involves developing and improving cosmetic formulations across skincare, haircare, personal care, bath care, and home care categories while ensuring safety, performance, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new cosmetic formulations and improve existing products across skincare, haircare, bath care, and home care
• Conduct stability, compatibility, and performance testing of formulations
• Evaluate product efficacy, safety, and sensory attributes
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulatory standards
• Collaborate with marketing, QA, manufacturing, and regulatory teams from concept to product launch
• Source and evaluate raw materials and suppliers
• Maintain accurate documentation of formulations, trials, and test results
• Stay updated with industry trends, ingredients, and formulation technologies
• Support scale-up and production transfer activities

Requirements

• MSc in Analytical Chemistry / Organic Chemistry / Cosmetic Science or M.Pharm
• Strong knowledge of cosmetic ingredients and formulation principles
• Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments such as pH meter, viscosity meter, and moisture analyzer
• Strong understanding of chemical properties and analytical techniques
• Experience in cosmetic product development (skincare, haircare, personal care preferred)
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance in cosmetic industry
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
