Job Summary:
The R&D Lab Intern will join and integrate into a research or assay development team as an active contributing member by conducting experiments, acquiring and accurately documenting data. The intern will develop foundational laboratory and immunoassay skill sets to support ongoing projects, beginning with hands-on shadowing and progressing to independently conducting experiments with accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Duties:
- The intern will be responsible for properly documenting experimental methods, results, and observations. Throughout the internship, the intern is expected to demonstrate continuous growth by developing the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions from studies, and design experiments under guidance. By the end of the internship, the intern should be capable of contributing to experimental planning and execution.

The intern is encouraged to be proactive in suggesting ideas and experimental approaches that support the development of in vitro diagnostic (IVD) assays. A strong commitment to scientific integrity is expected, including speaking up to identify potential issues, deviations, or experimental errors in the laboratory.

Qualifications:
- Students who have completed two years of education towards a Bachelor’s degree in a Science-related major are encouraged to apply.

GPA of 3.0 or higher

Basic knowledge of biology and chemistry.

Basic knowledge of laboratory skills such as pipetting.

Ability to handle clinical samples.

Ability to work in a Biosafety Level 2 lab.

Basic computer skills such as the working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to accurately record data.
