R&D Manager

The R&D Manager will lead innovation and product development initiatives. This role is responsible for creating new products, improving existing recipes, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards. The manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver market-driven solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and strengthen the company’s competitive edge

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement R&D strategies to expand product portfolios (beverages, Desserts, Pastries, packaged foods, ready-to-drink, functional products).
• Manage projects for new beverages, and coffee-based products.
• Lead and mentor the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Lead product ideation, formulation, and testing to ensure superior taste, nutrition, and quality.
• Oversee sensory evaluation panels and testing to validate product acceptance.
• Collaborate with sourcing and procurement teams to identify innovative ingredients and sustainable raw materials.
• Drive packaging innovation with a focus on sustainability, shelf-life, and consumer convenience.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, labeling requirements, and industry standards.
• Manage R&D projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
• Partner with marketing and production teams to align product development with consumer trends and market demands.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to guide innovation.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, research institutions, and regulatory bodies.
• Track and report on R&D performance, innovation pipeline, and market impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in R&D within the food & beverage industry.
• Strong knowledge of product formulation, food processing, and sensory evaluation.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and food safety standards HACCP, ISO etc
• Proven track record of launching successful food or beverage products.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
