We are looking for an R&D Senior Design Engineer to be joining our team.
This role is based on site in Sincan-Ankara.
In this role, you will be a key developer for SF6-free medium-voltage switchgear and develop new field trend concepts.

Develop a clear understanding of the medium voltage MV Switchgear landscape and market trends.

Operational Responsibilities

Take executive responsibility for design development within R&D projects.

Lead or participate in technical groups, performing all design-related studies using DFSS methodology, including:

Analysis studies

Performance tests

Prototyping

Validation & type testing

Data release

Collaborate with R&D and cross-functional teams (Quality, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Operational Excellence Opex) to meet customer expectations and enhance product experience.

Conduct research on patents, benchmarking, manufacturing technologies, and regulatory specifications (local and external).

Lead communication and analysis within technical teams.
-
Perform cost-optimization reviews.

Provide product line support for current products and NPI transitions.

Validate supplier deviation evaluations.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a high-ranked University – required
-
Master’s (MSc) – preferred
-
Minimum 5 years in design projects (preferably in the electric sector) OR
-
Minimum 2 years as an engineering expert with unique sector-specific technical knowledge

Experience with various manufacturing methods and prototyping
-
Kinematic, dynamic, and structural analysis of mechanical systems
-
Manufacturing methods OR Green Belt certification in Design for Six Sigma DFSS

Knowledge of material properties and selection

Basic experience in:
