Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth and efficient patient care while supporting the clinical team. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient communication will contribute to a positive dental experience for every patient. Duties

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies, maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques
  • Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, ensuring proper technique and patient safety
  • Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Operate EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix to document patient information accurately
  • Measure vital signs and review medical history to support comprehensive patient assessments
  • Support infection control protocols and maintain cleanliness standards across the clinic

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or RDA in a busy dental clinic setting
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures
  • Familiarity with EMR systems like Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation
  • Experience with pediatric dentistry and working with pediatric patients is highly preferred
  • Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards
  • Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and medical imaging
  • Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes
  • Competence in using advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners for diagnostics and treatment planning
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members including dental receptionists and hygienists
