The REACH Co-Lab within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at CSU would like to hire a temporary hourly employee to support research.

Construct and operate research facilities for thermal energy systems:
Design, specify, and procure engineered components for thermal energy research projects at the REACH CoLab
Construct test facilities for thermal systems experiments
Fabricate components for test facility using basic machine tools
Perform demolition work to create space for new experiments
Operate and troubleshoot test facilities to collect data
Pre-employment background check
Supervision:
none
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university;
Experience in using CAD software to design energy systems and components;
Experience in thermal systems design, fabrication, and performance testing;
Experience with data analysis and interpretation; and
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum 1 year of relevant industry or academic experience in a research laboratory, especially at the CSU Powerhouse Energy Campus; and
Ability to work with various groups of people including students, faculty, staff and other collaborators both within the University and external to the University.
