REACH Program & Regis High School Mission Statements

REACH, through a transformative middle school program, empowers high-achieving young men from underserved communities as Catholic leaders committed to faith, scholarship, and service. REACH is a free summer-and-Saturday enrichment program for middle-school boys designed to enhance students’ academic and leadership skills. Through our advanced curriculum, REACH prepares its students to win scholarships and financial aid to the most selective Catholic high schools in the New York City area, including Regis High School.

Regis High School transforms Catholic young men through an academically exceptional Jesuit education in a caring community which inspires leadership, generosity and a lifelong passion for service as Men for Others. Regis is tuition free and merit based, giving special consideration to families in need of financial assistance.

Compensation, Dates, and Details

  • Program Dates: July 6 - August 14, 2026
  • Stipend: $6,000, with bonuses for returning teachers
  • Schedule: All classes take place from Monday-Friday

  • English Language Arts Teachers: Rising 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th
  • Math Teachers: Rising 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th
  • Civics Teachers: Rising 6th, 7th, 8th
  • Biology Teacher: Rising 9th
  • Latin Teacher: Rising 6th
  • Test Prep Teacher: Rising 8th (HSPT: High School Placement Test)

REACH summer faculty applicants may be considered for two unique teaching opportunities: REACH at Fordham + REACH at Regis or REACH at Scranton + REACH at Regis. Both sessions last for six weeks. During the REACH at Regis session, all faculty will commute to Regis High School to teach their classes.

REACH at Fordham + REACH at Regis High School

REACH at Fordham teachers will commute to Fordham University’s Rose Hill campus for three weeks.

  • 6th Grade Positions Available
  • REACH at Fordham: July 6 - July 24
  • REACH at Regis: July 28 - August 14
    • Lunch provided Monday - Friday

REACH at Scranton + REACH at Regis High School

REACH at Scranton teachers will live and work at the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania for three weeks. Transportation, room, and board at the university are provided, in addition to the stipend.

  • 7th, 8th, and 9th Grade Positions Available
  • REACH at Scranton: July 6 - July 24
  • REACH at Regis: July 28 - August 14
  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided 7 days a week
  • Faculty must remain on campus for at least one weekend

Teachers serve as classroom leaders and role models, fostering intellectual growth and leadership among students. In and out of classes, we form them as young Men for Others. Each class has two sections with 10–26 students. Teachers receive curriculum, homework, assessments, and a teacher’s assistant for support.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience as a teacher or administrator in middle or high school.
  • Work in collaboration with the administration in observing the principle and ideals for which Regis stands.
  • Assume all other faculty responsibilities as determined by the director of the REACH Program.
  • Willingness to support and advance the Catholic and Jesuit mission of the school through all interactions.
  • Commitment to uplifting marginalized communities and a deep belief in the success of all students.

Other expectations

The REACH program expects one to conduct oneself at all times in a manner which shall not bring reproach upon oneself or REACH.
