Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Reading Intervention Teacher to support students in grades 1 through 5 who need targeted literacy assistance. Duties
- Develop and implement customized reading intervention plans aligned with curriculum standards and student needs.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track student progress, document interventions, and communicate with colleagues and families.
- Apply principles of literacy education, early childhood development, and childhood education to create effective lesson plans that promote reading fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary skills.
- Incorporate learning technology tools and instructional design strategies to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
- Work closely with students with disabilities or special education needs, adapting instruction to support diverse learning styles.
- Manage classroom environments efficiently through effective classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special educators, parents, and administrators to support student success and provide ongoing academic advising.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Literacy Education, Special Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification or license for elementary or early childhood education.
- Demonstrated experience in classroom teaching or tutoring students in grades 1–5, especially in literacy or reading intervention roles.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional strategies for early learners.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms, learning technology tools, and data-driven instruction methods.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
