Real Estate Accountant

Job Overview
We are seeking a Real Estate Accountant who has accounting experience and will learn our real estate portfolio, maintain the financial statements for each, and administer our Accounting Software (MRI). The job also entails overlap with Property Management to prepare budgets and reconcile Common Area Maintenance Statements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the accounting and financial statements for each property in our real estate portfolio
• Work with CPA to prepare partnership tax returns
• Utilize property management tools like Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS to track financial performance, occupancy rates, and maintenance schedules.
• Prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and adapt to changing conditions.
• Work well in a small team.
• Lead tasks with auditors, tenants, and tax professionals.
• Reconcile General Ledgers, Accounts Receivable, and Bank Statements.

Requirements

• BA in Accounting or similar. Experience in Accounting.
• Knowledge of property management software such as MRI, Yardi, OneSite, or comparable tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel).
• Self-accountable to job tasks.
• Ability to oversee an Accounting Clerk.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
