Real Estate Escrow and Closing Agent

SoDak Title is currently looking to expand our Spearfish team with the hiring of an additional Real Estate Closing Agent. The right candidate will be self-motivated in a fast paced environment, while working with a collaborative team, to close real estate transactions. They will provide exceptional customer service to all parties involved in the process. They must be detail oriented, organized, have excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communicates with real estate agents, lenders, attorneys, and clients regarding closing details.
• Prepares settlement statements and closing documents as needed for completion of escrow closings.
• Orders all documents needed to close each escrow promptly, such as payoffs, loan documents, warranty deeds, quit claim deeds, and other documents as needed.
• Works with the title department in resolving issues (e.g., legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, federal tax liens).
• Conducts closings with Buyers and Sellers.
• Post-closing funds disbursement and document processing.
• Complete other pre-closing and post-closing duties as requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Graduate/GED
• Must be a Notary Public or be bondable to obtain a Notary Commission.
• Computer proficiency: knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, strong keyboarding/data entry skills.
• Able to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a positive service attitude.
• Adaptable to new, different, or changing requirements.
• A background in real estate, banking, and/or mortgage lending would be ideal.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
