Marine-Co is seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Real Estate Escrow Officer to join our finance team in Al Wakrah. This role is responsible for managing escrow transactions related to real estate deals, ensuring funds are securely held, accurately recorded, and released only in accordance with contractual agreements and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong financial control experience, high integrity, and a solid understanding of real estate transaction processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage real estate escrow accounts, ensuring accurate recording of deposits, disbursements, and fund transfers
- Ensure escrow funds are held securely and released strictly according to contractual terms and approvals
- Review real estate contracts and verify escrow conditions before processing transactions
- Maintain detailed escrow records and transaction documentation for audit and compliance purposes
- Prepare regular escrow account statements and reports for clients, management, and stakeholders
- Coordinate with real estate agents, legal teams, developers, and financial institutions to ensure smooth transaction processing
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in escrow accounts
- Monitor transaction timelines to ensure funds are released only upon fulfillment of all conditions
- Ensure compliance with real estate regulations, internal controls, and financial policies
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing complete escrow documentation and records
- Maintain strict confidentiality and security of client funds and transaction data
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience in escrow management, real estate finance, or trust accounting
- Strong understanding of real estate transactions, escrow procedures, and fund management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/financial systems
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information
- Good communication skills for coordination with clients and stakeholders
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in real estate, banking, legal, or financial services sectors
- Knowledge of escrow regulations and real estate financial compliance
- Familiarity with escrow accounting systems or property management platforms
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA are an advantage
