Real Estate Legal Assistant

<Job Summary>
Join our dynamic legal team as a Real Estate Legal Assistant and play a vital role in supporting complex real estate transactions, legal research, and case management. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely and support 2 attorneys, manage diverse legal documents, and contribute to a fast-paced law office environment. Your expertise will help streamline processes, ensure accuracy, and uphold the highest standards of legal support in real estate law and related practice areas.

<Duties>

  • Assist attorneys with preparing, reviewing, and managing real estate documents such as deeds, titles, and escrow instructions.
  • Assist with drafting pleadings, motions, notices, and correspondence
  • File documents electronically with courts and ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines
  • Maintain case files, calendars, and litigation deadlines
  • Review contracts, leases, and other legal documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, tracking case progress, and communicating with clients and stakeholders.
  • Perform document review, proofreading, transcription, and data entry to maintain high-quality legal documentation.
  • Provide administrative support including filing, scheduling interviews or meetings, managing phone etiquette, and handling clerical tasks to keep the office running smoothly.

<Requirements>

  • Proven paralegal experience or legal administrative experience in a law office setting.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate law including landlord-tenant law, foreclosures, and title work.
  • Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
  • Demonstrated writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
  • Attention to detail in proofreading, transcription, and document review processes.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining professionalism on the phone and in person.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
