Role Description

This role will assist the the entire retail leasing team and reporting to the Director of GIS by creating aerials for the broker and real estate team. The ideal candidate will be expected to produce quality aerial, data request, and map imagery using refined Adobe Photoshop skills with associated demographic reports that are critical to the continuing expansion of our growing company. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with an interest in aerial imagery, real estate, or a specialty in GIS, which contributes to how retailers, restaurants, and convenience stores use geographic data to make locational decisions. The candidate will create the tools that help the business understand how people travel daily, relate to the local shopping environment, and how different demographic distributions influence business geographies. The candidate will have the opportunity to put their Photoshop skills to use creating engaging visualizations for SHOP and our clients.

Map Design Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

  • Produce aerial images using Adobe Photoshop along with company GIS desktop mapping software.
  • Creating aerial appearance with sensitivity to company brand, and various layers, such as road names, places, and pre-existing customized networks of locations and polygons, and selecting appropriate legends and titles per branding guidelines.
  • Verify, maintain, and update various spatial databases to include trade area boundaries, shopping centers, and national retailers, and interpret and analyze geographic data to identify trends and patterns.
  • Collaborating and working with brokers and admin teams to gather information and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Pull reports related to demographics, psychographics, and population growth trends to present for real estate development through map creations.
  • Provide data in organized fashion for external use.
  • Communicate and work in a team environment.

Experience Requirements

  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Willingness to work with and learn GIS data platforms such as ESRI & Placer
  • Graphic Artist experience is a plus
  • GIS Experience preferred
  • Communication skills with the team

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
