Duties
- Assist attorneys with all phases of real estate transactions, including drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts, deeds, titles, and closing documents.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research across various practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, landlord-tenant law, securities law.
- Manage and organize case files using document management systems like Lawcus and LexisNexis; ability to search public records through portals like SearchIQS; ensure all documents are accurate, complete, and properly filed.
- Perform detailed document review and proofreading to ensure legal accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Support project management efforts by coordinating deadlines, tracking case progress, and facilitating communication among team members.
- Prepare legal drafts such as contracts, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
- Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses when necessary; gather relevant information to support case development.
Qualifications
- Proven paralegal experience in a busy law office environment with direct real estate transaction experience. Must be able to handle a complete transaction from contract to closing.
- Strong knowledge of real estate law, estate planning, environmental law, UCC law, landlord-tenant issues, securities law.
- Proficiency in legal case management software such as Lawcus; experience with document management systems and ability complete a full HUD-1 and Statement of Sale.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills for interviewing clients or witnesses and drafting clear legal documents.
- Demonstrated ability to handle administrative tasks including data entry, filing systems management, transcription services, proofreading documents, and maintaining meticulous records.

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
