Porchlight Media is a rapidly growing real estate marketing company seeking talented photographers and videographers. If you love capturing properties but don’t want to deal with the backend—editing, delivery, or administrative work—we’ve got you covered.

We offer one of the best commission splits in the industry for serious professionals and provide consistent opportunities to work with real estate agents and brokerages across northern and central New Jersey. All you need to do is focus on your craft—we’ll handle the rest.

Position Overview: As a Field Photographer, you will capture high-quality photos and videos of residential and commercial properties. This is a fast-paced, freelance contractor role that offers flexibility and the opportunity to grow with the company. We provide comprehensive training, competitive pay, and handle all post-production editing through our in-house team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Photograph and/or film properties with attention to composition, lighting, and detail.
• Upload all media content by 9 PM on the day of the shoot.
• Maintain professional communication with clients to ensure exceptional customer service.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and ready for each assignment.
• Adhere to company guidelines and quality standards for real estate media.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of composition, lighting, and camera settings.
• Proven experience in real estate photography.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Valid ID and reliable transportation.
• Drone photography experience is a plus (training provided if needed).

Required Equipment:

• Mirrorless full-frame camera
• Wide-angle lens (16-35mm preferred)
• External flash
• Tripod with an accurate level and rotating head
• Motorized gimbal/stabilizer for video (such as the Ronin M or Ronin S)
• High-speed internet access (for uploading media to the processing portal)

Bonus Equipment (Optional but Preferred):

• Drone with camera capabilities
• Lavalier microphone for audio recording
• 360 camera (such as Ricoh Theta) with a monopod

Additional Information:

• Background checks are performed on all candidates.
• Must be willing to travel within a 50-mile radius for assignments.
• Driver's license is required.

Compensation:

• Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour (paid per project)
• Flexible schedule with opportunities for growth
• Contract position with a part-time start, with potential for increased workload based on performance

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends if you’d like to earn more.
• On-call availability for urgent assignments

Experience Required:

• Drone operation: 1 year (Preferred but not required)
• Photography: 1 year (Required)
• Videography: 1 year (Required)
