Job Description :
The New York Post provides readers with the best in News, Sports, Pop Culture, Fashion and Entertainment – with signature wit, irreverence and authority averaging 90 million unique viewers a month. Over the past 224 years, The Post has evolved into a multi-platform media company spanning print, digital, video, audio, app, television and commerce.
The New York Post digital team is looking for a full-time Real Estate Reporter who’s well-versed and deeply sourced in the worlds of New York City and national residential real estate. The candidate must be an independent and highly motivated self-starter with strong industry contacts, the ability and willingness to connect with more, access to exclusive tips, knowledge of local and national real-estate databases — and a journalist whose writing is lively and informative.
The candidate will write short-form breaking stories on fast deadlines —
whether from market reports, new listings or aggregated from other sources — and also spend their days working on reporting longer-lead features. This could include human-nature stories on the quirky ways New Yorkers live, deep dives into controversial properties — whether the subject of litigation or lengthy spells for sale — and listings that lend themselves to long-form writing, such as those with celebrity pasts, superlative prices or deep historical ties.
