Real Estate Senior Legal Counsel

Location: New Jersey (Hybrid schedule)

Salary: $220,000 - 260,000 base

Position Overview:

We are working with one of New Jersey’s most active and well-respected real estate developers, with a robust portfolio across residential, industrial, and data center properties. They are seeking a Transactional Real Estate Attorney to join their legal team.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate documentation related to acquisitions, commercial leasing, dispositions, financing, leasing, and joint ventures.
• Oversee legal due diligence for development sites and existing assets.
• Coordinate with external counsel, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient transaction closings.
• Support the legal needs of cross-functional teams including development, construction, leasing, and asset management.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school; member in good standing of a U.S. state bar (New Jersey bar admission preferred).
• 5+ years of legal experience, with significant experience in real estate transactions.
• Preference to commercial leasing experience related to real estate transactions.
