The role of the Product Analyst is to provide support to ensure the growth and profitability of the Chubb’s Recreational Marine line of business. The role will assist the Home Office product team by supporting enhancements that improve the product using contract language, underwriting guidelines, system enhancements, pricing/predictive analytics, quote optimization and CAT models.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Support the development and rollout of Countrywide Pricing Plans and enhancements by working with internal business partners and supporting the regulatory approval of these changes.
- Assist in the research and development of product and coverage enhancements.
- Assist in the monitoring and development of countrywide guidelines to ensure profitability.
- Support the development and rollout of new programs to access new opportunities.
- Research competitors rate plans, coverage and forms, and guidelines in the High Net Worth, Mass Affluent, Mass Market and Insurtech space to recommend changes to the rec marine products.
- Provide project support for additional non-recreational marine personal lines of business as needed
- Analyze information on post implementation results for Countrywide rating and guideline changes.
- Utilize strong oral and written communication skills to effectively convey reports and analysis results in an easily understandable manner.
- Exhibit organizational skills to effectively manage competing priorities.
- Establish effective working relationships with Underwriting, Actuarial, Regional Product Management, CAT Management, Product Development, Product Support, Product Services and Project Management.
- Assist in communicating strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Independently manage low to moderate complexity projects; understand business objectives as they relate to project goals.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent business experience in math, economics, finance, data science/analysis or statistical emphasis.
- 2-4 years Personal Lines experience with a background as a product analyst, actuarial analyst, data analyst, underwriter, catastrophe modeler or similar role preferred.
- Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work effectively as a team member as well as independently.
- Must be organized with excellent time management skills and an ability to synthesize information.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 suite of Products with an emphasis on Excel (Lookups, PowerPivot, and the Data Model), SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI.
- Familiarity with geographic information systems such as ArcGIS Online, QGIS, Mapserver, PostGIS, etc. is preferred but not required.

The pay range for the role is $71,000 to $96,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
