Reception Supervisor – Job Overview


The Reception Supervisor is responsible for managing the daily operations of the reception/front desk team, ensuring that guests, clients, and visitors receive a professional and welcoming experience. This role involves supervising staff, handling escalated inquiries, and maintaining smooth communication between the reception area and other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support reception staff in their daily duties.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service at all times.
  • Handle escalated guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests.
  • Schedule shifts and manage staff attendance.
  • Train and mentor new reception team members.
  • Ensure the reception area is organized, clean, and presentable.
  • Oversee visitor management, call handling, and correspondence.
  • Prepare reports and update management on reception activities.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Previous experience in a reception or front desk role (supervisory experience preferred).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle pressure.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and front desk systems.
  • Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills.
