Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Interaction: Greet and check-in/check-out patients warmly, ensuring a positive first impression. Comfort patients by answering questions and anticipating anxieties in the waiting area.
  • Appointment Management: Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments efficiently via phone, email, or in person. Optimize provider schedules to ensure an efficient patient flow.
  • Records Management: Obtain, record, and update patient demographic, personal, and financial information, including identification and insurance cards, in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. Ensure the confidentiality of all patient data in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Billing & Insurance: Verify insurance eligibility and coverage, collect co-pays, outstanding balances, and process payments. Coordinate with third-party billers and handle insurance-related inquiries.
  • Communication & Coordination: Answer multi-line phone systems, take messages, and route calls to the appropriate medical staff (dermatologists, nurses, medical assistants). Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers.
  • General Administrative Duties: Manage incoming/outgoing mail, faxes, and emails. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and waiting area. Monitor and order office and medical supplies as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, with additional certification in medical office administration being a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a medical office, customer service, or a similar administrative role is often preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in using EHR systems and scheduling software.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance billing, and CPT/ICD coding is highly advantageous.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and scheduling.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional demeanor, empathy, and a customer-service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
