Receptionist for Family Services Department

Lifesteps is currently recruiting for a Part-time Receptionist / Office Assistant to join the Family Services team in the Butler area .  


The Family Services Receptionist will be administrative and customer service oriented.  Job Duties can include:



  • answering telephone calls from families who have questions about our services

  • call to schedule court-ordered seminar attendance for families going through divorce or separation

  • greet families and accept payment for services

  • create documents and reports using Word, Excel, and track attendance 

  • Assist the Director with any administrative tasks needed


The work schedule is normally Monday through Friday, 9 am to 2 pm.    We can also consider someone working 3 days per week at 7 or 8 hours each day.  Total hours for the position is between 20 to 25 hours.   There is one Saturday required per month working 8 am to 12:30 pm 




Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED and two (2) years’ experience working in an office setting, secretarial, receptionist, customer service, or a Family Services type role

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to articulate information to a diverse audience in a courteous manner


• Must possess attention to detail with the ability to multi-task, work in a team environment and with confidential information in a responsible manner


• Excellent typing skills


• Proficient Microsoft Office Suite


• Current driver’s license and the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle
