Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Receptionist role based in Knoxville, TN. The Receptionist will greet patients and visitors, answer incoming calls, and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members. Responsibilities include scheduling and confirming appointments, checking patients in and out, and verifying and updating demographic and insurance information. The role also involves handling incoming mail and faxes, maintaining an organized front desk area, and supporting basic clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and data entry. The Receptionist will collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to support smooth patient flow, maintain confidentiality, and ensure a professional, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated receptionist and front desk skills, including managing check-in/check-out and Receptionist Duties.
  • Strong Phone Etiquette and Communication skills for interacting with patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
  • Proven Customer Service experience with a focus on empathy, patience, and professionalism.
  • Clerical Skills such as data entry, filing, record updating, and handling basic office equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or coursework in medical office administration is a plus.
  • Comfort with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer applications (email, scheduling software, word processing).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adherence to clinic policies and procedures.
