Job Title: Gym ReceptionistJob Purpose:
The Gym Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for members and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment. The role involves handling front desk operations, providing information about services, assisting members with queries, and supporting the overall smooth running of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet members and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Manage front desk operations, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and handling member inquiries.
- Process membership applications, renewals, payments, and class bookings.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, memberships, and financial transactions.
- Monitor access to the gym, ensuring only authorized members and guests enter.
- Provide information on gym facilities, classes, personal training, promotions, and membership benefits.
- Handle member complaints or concerns professionally and escalate to management when necessary.
- Keep the reception area neat, organized, and presentable.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and preparing reports.
- Support fitness staff and management with daily operational requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in administration or customer service are an advantage.
- Previous experience in a receptionist, customer service, or hospitality role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, scheduling software, POS systems).
- Professional, friendly, and approachable attitude.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous in busy or stressful situations.
Working Conditions:
- Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Role requires standing for extended periods and occasional light physical tasks.
