ABOUT OUR AGENCY:
I opened my agency this year after a long journey with State Farm that began over a decade ago as an intern and continued through seven years as a team member. That experience gave me a deep understanding of the business and a clear vision for building an agency rooted in service, consistency, and strong relationships.
I attended the University of Missouri, am married, and we’re excited to welcome a baby in March 2026. I’m also a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc, which reflects my long-standing commitment to leadership and service.
Community involvement is important to me, and I stay actively engaged through my local church, where I serve in marriage ministry leadership, as well as with the Houston Northwest Chamber of Commerce.

Darius Thurston - State Farm Agent is a leading insurance agency dedicated to providing exceptional service to our customers. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Receptionist - State Farm Agent Team Member.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet customers warmly in person and over the phone, directing them to the appropriate team members.
- Manage appointment scheduling and office communications.
- Assist in handling incoming inquiries and maintaining customer records.
- Engage in conversations with prospective and existing customers, identifying opportunities to offer insurance options.
- Provide excellent customer service and follow up on customers needs.
- Support the team with various administrative tasks and projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Comfortable with engaging in sales conversations.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
