Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to serve as the front-facing professional in our busy fabrication shop office. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly, enjoys supporting a team, and understands the importance of both precision and consistency in day-to-day administrative work. The ideal candidate is dependable, proactive, and takes ownership of their role. They understand that even the smallest tasks contribute to the bigger picture and take pride in doing them well. This person will be a reliable go-to for managers and a steady presence in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Position Overview

As the first point of contact for visitors and callers, you will represent our company with professionalism and warmth. You will also play a key support role for managers and office staff, handling a wide range of administrative and clerical responsibilities—some of which are routine but essential to maintaining our high standards of organization and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and manage front desk reception area
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls with professionalism
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Make copies, laminate materials, and prepare documents as needed
  • File paperwork into organized physical filing systems
  • Scan documents and maintain accurate digital records
  • Assist managers and team members with administrative support tasks
  • Provide overflow support for other office roles as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office environment

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Professional communication skills (in-person and over the phone)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
  • Positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
  • Comfortable with routine or repetitive tasks (“busy work”) that are critical to operations
  • Proficiency with basic office equipment (copiers, scanners, laminators)
  • Basic computer skills (file management, scanning, email, etc.)

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
