Job Description

Plushumi The Plushie Workshop is seeking a friendly, organized, and motivated Part-Time Receptionist / Customer Service team member to support customer communication and sales inquiries for all Plushumi locations. This position is based in Pasadena and plays an important role in helping turn customer inquiries into workshop bookings and party reservations.

The ideal candidate is warm, organized, and sales-minded, with the ability to respond to inquiries professionally, build excitement, guide customers through their options, and help convert interest into confirmed workshop and party bookings.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls and reply to emails for all Plushumi locations
  • Respond to customer inquiries about workshops, private parties, events, and bookings
  • Help guide customers toward completing their booking with confidence
  • Turn customer inquiries into confirmed workshop and party reservations
  • Provide excellent customer service with a warm, polished, and helpful attitude
  • Follow up on inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist customers in choosing the best workshop or party option for their needs
  • Support communication across multiple locations, including East Coast locations
  • Maintain organized records of inquiries, follow-ups, and booking needs
  • Assist with general administrative

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly, polished, and professional demeanor
  • Strong customer service skills with a natural ability to connect with people
  • Sales-minded, with confidence in guiding inquiries toward bookings and party sales
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsive
  • Prior experience in customer service, phone sales, reception, hospitality, or booking coordination is preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be available to work Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Must be able to work in person in Pasadena
